US failed war in Afghanistan will not be fought on Pakistan soil: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The deteriorating relations between Pakistan and United Statesin the recent days have made the regional security scenario worst withoutburst of statements from both sides pointing out each others failures onthe war against terrorism. However Pakistan has made it clear to US thatit’s failed war in Afghanistan cannot be fought inside Pakistan.

Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir-Khan said that Pakistan just wantsacknowledgement of its sacrifices.

While speaking at a conference on Tuesday, Khan remarked that everythingbetween US and Pakistan is out in the open now.

“Pakistan is being made a scapegoat. We have given thousands of sacrificesand are still giving it. Pakistan does not want a price for its cooperationbut wants it sacrifices to be acknowledged,” he said.

“We won’t allow Afghan war be fought on Pakistani soil.”

He reiterated his earlier claims that the UShas failed in the war againstterrorism in Afghanistan. “Even after spending trillion dollars anddeploying thousands of soldiers, US was only able to control 40% ofAfghanistan.”

Moreover, the US foreign minister has also accepted that the US failed inAfghanistan, Dastgir remarked.
