President Dr Arif Alvi resigns today after term completion

Pakistan's President, Dr. Arif Alvi, officially concluded his term today. Dr. Arif Alvi, who assumed office through a democratic election on September 9, 2018, will continue fulfilling his presidential responsibilities until a new president is elected. Earlier it was reported that President may resign after term completion, however he has decided not to resign until the new President takes charge.
After wrapping up his official visit to Lahore, President Alvi has returned to Islamabad to carry out his customary presidential duties. Notably, former Federal Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani held an extensive meeting with President Alvi.
Regarding this, former minister Fawad Chaudhry conveyed his best wishes to President Alvi via a message on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting that despite facing challenging times, President Dr. Arif Alvi completed five years of his presidency and upheld the honor and dignity of the office.
