The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) held a briefing in Islamabad where they were presented with an overview of the Result Compilation System (RCS) and were given a live demonstration to witness its functionality. This system appears to be a new iteration of the Result Transmission System, which faced significant issues during the 2018 general elections.
During this informative session and live demonstrations, the information technology secretary and the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) team shared their thoughts and feedback on the RCS. Notable attendees at this briefing included the election commission secretary, adviser, special secretary, the head of the project management unit, and other officials.
Furthermore, the commission received updates on ongoing constituency-related activities, such as the successful training of constituency committees and the allocation of seats for both national and provincial assemblies by district. The initiation of committee tasks was also discussed during this session.
The ECP received assurances that these designated tasks would be carried out in accordance with the established schedule. The electoral oversight body expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the delimitation process.
