Afghan Military claims killing Taliban Red Unit Commander in an airstrike

KABUL - Afghan Military claims killing Taliban Red Unit Commander in an airstrike.

The security forces claimed the death of commander of the Red Unit of Taliban in Maidan Wardak province.

The Special Operations Corps said in a statement that the security forces conducted airstrikes in Nerkh district of Wardak province.

The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 23 Taliban militants including one of the Red Unit commanders of the group.

Furthermore, the Special Operations Corps said the airstikes also killed 15 militants of the Red Unit of Taliban.
