Diamer Bhasha Dam fund: Overseas Pakistani respond to PM Khan's donation appeal

LAHORE – The overseas Pakistanis responded to the appeal of Prime Minister Imran Khan and started to donate the dams funds.
PM Imran Khan urged the nation and overseas Pakistanis to contribute generously to the fund to save country from the looming water crisis. PM Imran appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to donate at least US$1,000 per person for the construction of dams.
After the speech of Imran Khan, the overseas Pakistanis responded to his appeal and the people promised him to show full cooperation through their tweets.
Overseas Pakistani community President in Russia has announced $5000 donation and other community members have also announced similar contributions.
A woman announced to donate US$1,000 for dam while a man donated 4000 Riyals for dam funds. The overseas assured Imran Khan that they will stand with him in all circumstances.
Another women said that he will donate for dam funds after selling her Gold jewelry because this dam has more important than her Gold bangles. Another overseas person announced that after the announcement he donated one million for dam funds from his family members.
“We have no need of IMF loans for the construction of dam. This is our country and we will take care of our country,” he said. “I want to see a green Pakistan. This is only possible when dams are constructed,” he added.
