USAID - SCCI sign MoU for agri development in Punjab

SIALKOT (APP): United Sates Agency for International Development (USAID) and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday for development of agriculture, dairy and livestock sectors in Sialkot Region under the USAID's Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP).

The MoU signing ceremony was held at SCCI Auditorium. Under the MoU, both USAID and SCCI would mutually promote Sialkot as a desirable destination for investment in livestock, dairy and agriculture sectors.
Speaking at the ceremony, SCCI President Major (R) Mansur Ahmed said that USAID-PEEP and SCCI would work together to stimulate business enabling environment in livestock, dairy and agriculture sectors by utilising the entrepreneurial capacity as well as linkages of SCCI for promoting trade and investment opportunities in Sialkot.
On this occasion, the USAID representatives said that US$15 million would be spent to improve business environment in the livestock, dairy and agriculture sectors of Punjab.
