Neferious designs of anti state elements to be foiled: Corps Commander Peshawar

PESHAWAR (APP): Acting Corps Commander Major General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood on Wednesday expressed resolve to protect motherland and made it clear that nefarious designs of anti state elements to be foiled at any cost.
Addressing an event organised at Corps Headquarters in connection with Defence Day, he said that the sacrifices of martyrs of 1965 and 1971 wars and the martyrs of recent war on terror would not go in vein rather the terrorists, miscreants and anti state elements would be wiped out from Pakistani soil.
Bereaved families of Shaheed Major Ali Jawad, Shaheed AIG Malik Saad, Shaheed FC Commandant Sifwat Ghayoor and Lance Naik Rehmanullah and others were chief guests of the event.
Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and provincial ministers also participated in the event.
"He said the whole nation stands shoulder by shoulder with the security forces in the war against terror adding the days are not far when the terrorists and miscreants would become part of trash of history."
He said that the backs of terrorists have been broken in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the peace has restored in the country.
Appreciating sacrifices of armed forces, the Acting Corps Commander Peshawar said, "Sacrifices of security forces have further strengthened resolve and determination of the nation to eleminate anti state elements."
Referring to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), he said that displaced persons have left their areas for the sake of country and their respectable repatriation and resettlement would be ensured at the earliest.
On the occasion, the national anthem was sung. National songs and tableaus were also played besides paying tribute to the martyrs.
