Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his belief that the citizens of Pakistan will utilize their voting power to ensure accountability within the government. Addressing a delegation of overseas Pakistanis in London, Sharif emphasized that those in positions of authority must be answerable to the electorate, as he firmly stated that the populace will not forgive those obstructing the nation's progress.
Notably, Nawaz Sharif's recent statements reflect a milder stance on the subject of accountability compared to his earlier declarations. Initially, he had asserted his intention to hold both military and judicial figures accountable for his removal from office.
However, his current perspective prioritizes the stabilization and revival of Pakistan's economy upon his return to the country. Sharif believes that the country's progress should continue from where it was left off in 2017.
Furthermore, during his address to the overseas Pakistani community, Nawaz Sharif encouraged them to actively contribute to the development of industries within Pakistan, underscoring the importance of their involvement in the nation's economic advancement.
