Prime Minister Imran Khan promised that the federal government will extend all possible support to Balochistan government for human development in the province and set on the journey to build a "New Balochistan".
Addressing notables, retired judges, lawyers and civil society in Quetta, Imran Khan assured Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal that the centre will provide the capacity that Balochistan lacks to bring about development that the province has long awaited.

Khan urged the provincial authorities to bring a new local government system in Balochistan along the lines of what the PTI is introducing in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the PTI had won a two-thirds majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the 2018 elections because it had managed to improve the basic living conditions of people there.
He said Gwadar and its role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is an opportunity that bring immense benefits for the province if it is utilized.
He said incidents of terrorism had led to a major brain drain from Balochistan and vowed that the government will make efforts to send qualified professionals to the province.
