11 lawbreakers netted; liquor, weapons recovered

RAWALPINDI: Police in their crackdowns against anti-social elements have arrested 11 lawbreakers besides recovering 14 liters liquor, four pistols 30 bore with 27 rounds, a 44 bore rifle, three 9mm pistols and other items from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, New Town police netted Nadeem for having five liters liquor while Shahid was booked on recovery of five liters liquor. Cantt police seized four liters liquor from Altaf. Kalar Syedan police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid and apprehended Ahsan with three 9mm pistols, a 30 bore pistol with 12 rounds and a 44 bore rifle.
Naseerabad police recovered a 30 bore pistol from the possession of Riasat and a 30 bore pistol from Sohail. Taxila police arrested Sajid for carrying a 30 bore pistol and five rounds.
Airport police held Aqeel and Ishtiaq for running illegal petrol agencies. Toqeer was sent behind the bars as he was involved in illegal decanting of LPG.
