I knew decision of review petitions would not be in my favor: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday said that he knew the judgment on his review petitions against Panama Leaks verdict would not be in his favor.

Talking to media in Islamabad after appearing before the accountability court, he said that the anger of judges was clear in their words.

The disqualified former PM went on to say that these words would become black chapter of the history.

“I knew the decision of the review petitions would not be in my favor, he said”.

Earlier, the accountability court (AC) again indicted former prime minister Nawaz Sharif after rejecting his petition seeking to club three corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in line with the Supreme Court directive in the Panamagate case.

The judge called Nawaz Sharif to the rostrum after which his indictment was read out, however, the former PM denied all the charges and said that he was being targeted political revenge.

He said that his basic rights were being slabbed and he was denied the right to a fair trial and his basic rights were not protected.

The former premier said that they will themselves in the trial.
