Special Security Division GOC discuss Gwadar Port security with CM Baluchistan

QUETTA: (APP) General Officer Commanding, Special Security Division, Maj-General Aabid Rafeeq called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri at Chief Minister Secretariat Quetta on Tuesday and discussed affairs pertaining to security of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Balochistan.
Home Secretary, Dr. Akbar Harifal, IGP Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob, Finance Secretary, Capt. (retd) Akbar Hussain Durrani, Additional IGP, Dr. Mujibur Rehman and Secretary Planning, Shehryar Taj was present.
He discussed with the Chief Minister about the security of Chinese nationals in CPEC in Balochistan. The two agreed to set up a coordination committee for strengthening integration between Special Security Division and the Provincial government.
The officials including Home Secretary, IGP, Director General and Levies Force would represent Balochistan government in the committee. It was told in the meeting that the proposals have been furnished to the government for formation of another special security division in Balochistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Gwadar has central importance in the CPEC and emphasized the need to take special security measures for security of Gwadar Port and other important projects in Balochistan.
