COAS General Bajwa's message for Pakistani women on international women's Day

RAWALPINDI - International Women's Day is being celebrated today to raise awareness about gender equality and empowerment of women.
This year's theme for the day is "Time is Now: Rural and urban activists transforming women's lives".
This year, International Women’s Day comes on the heels of unprecedented global movement for women’s rights, equality and justice.
Worldwide gatherings, conferences, exhibitions and festivals will be held today to mark the day.
In his message on the day, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that we are proud of role and contributions of our women in uniform, back home and especially the ones who belong to martyrs' families.
He said that great Pakistani women have a role and responsibility towards progress of Pakistan.
