200 Chinese auto companies expected in next Pak auto show

KARACHI: (APP) Next year, 150 to 200 Chinese automotive companies will participate in Pakistan's international auto exhibition here, Ghazanfar Ali Khan.

In a statement here on Wednesday, President FPCCI standing committee on automotive and Senior Vice President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Ghazanfar Ali Khan appreciated the participation of seventy Chinese auto companies in the recently held international Pakistan Auto Show here.

He said Pakistan and China had very strong and old friendly relations which would be cemented further in future.

Around 0.2 million vehicles were being manufactured locally in Pakistan, whereas the demand was double. The investment from Korean and other countries' companies in the auto sector in Pakistan would not only bring new technology and new models but increase the production capacity.

He said the present government's auto policy was very attractive for investors and the foreign companies had shown interest to invest in Pakistan's auto industry.

This would help boost our national economy; leading to creation of many jobs, Ghazanfar Ali Khan said.
