US to launch formal diplomatic protest against Russia

WASHINGTON - United States will launch a formal diplomatic protest to Russia over a naval encounter in western Pacific.
This was stated by acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan while talking to reporters at Pentagon.
Shanahan said we will have military-to-military conversations.
Earlier, Russian anti-submarine destroyer Admiral Vinogradov managed to avoid a collision with U.S. guided-missile cruiser Chancellorsville in the East China Sea yesterday.
