Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan has said that instead of new legislation there is need to implement the existing laws in letter and spirit.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the present government has not registered any case against the opposition leadership but those who were involved in corrupt practices would have to face accountability.
Ali Muhammad Khan said the government is not afraid of any movement from the opposition as it is working for the people's welfare and the country's development.
He said holding protest is the constitutional right of the opposition but people would not support them as all the leadership of opposition parties were involved in corruption during their tenures of government.
