Karachiites reject MQM strike call as Rangers assure no forceful shut down

KARACHI: Karachi City continued with usual routine despite of MQM call to observe protest day in entire Sindh including Karachi as people have been assured by DG Rangers Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar that they would be provided protection.

As per details, MQM announced to observe protest day in Karachi against Rangers raid on the residence of Farooq Sattar but people have rejected MQM call because Karachi circumstances are peaceful and people are freely leaving their houses for work without any fear.

On the other hand, DG Rangers Sindh Maj. Bilal Akbar categorically said in his statement that there would no strike observed in the city and strict action would be taken against those who forcibly tried to shut businesses activities in the Karachi.

Karachi citizens had been advised by Maj. Bilal to keep their businesses open without any fear as they would be provided protection by Rangers.

He also asked transport unions to bring their vehicle on road today as well as advised petrol pumps owners to open their pumps without any fear.
