Contempt of court case against Jang/Geo management proceedings in SC

ISLAMABAD:The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned hearing of the contempt of court cases against Jang/Geo media group management and a reporter till February 21.
The court also directed the respondents to submit their replies through counsels in show cause notices till February 14.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and comprising Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah heard the case.

During the course of proceedings, respondents Editor in-chief Daily Jang and the News Shakeel Ur Rehman, printer publisher Mir Javed Rehman and staff reporter Ahmad Noorani appeared before the bench.
Advocate Arshad Ali counsel for respondents also appeared before the bench and informed that his clients received show cause notices late so they could not prepare replies.

He pleaded the court to grant some time for submission of replies.
Justice Asif Khosa asked the counsel that his clients had already submitted their replies in notices and directed him to submit their replies in show cause notices in one week.
