No evidence of JeM Chief Masood Azhar involvement in Pathankot attack found: JIT





ISLAMABAD: Joint Investigation Team said that no evidence was found regarding the involvement of JeM Chief Masood Azhar in Pathankot attacks. 

 

As per details, 7 Indian soldiers were killed in Pathankot airbase attacks on January 2. India claimed that JeM is involved in Pathankot attacks and the attackers were sent by JeM Chief Masood Azhar

 

JIT was formed by Pakistan over the allegations of India to investigate regarding the involvement of JeM in Pathankot attacks.

 

Sources claimed that Pakistani officials have informed Indian authorities that JIT did not fiund any evidence over JeM Chief Masood Azhar involvement in Pathankot attacks. 

 

Advisor to PM Nawaz on National Security Nasir Janjua also contacted with his Indian counterpart and exchanged views over JIT investigation and expected dialogues between Foreign Secretaries of both countries. 

 

Nasir Janjua informed his counterpart that JIT completed its investigation over the evidences of India and now JIT is ready to go to India for further investigations.\
