Iran, Russia and India should be part of Afghan peace process: Hamid Karzai
KABUL: The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai claimed that Iran, India and Russia should be part of Afghan peace process with Taliban group.

 

He claimed that Pakistan, China and US are making efforts for peace in Afghanistan but Iran, India and Russia are regional states and should be included in peace talks.

 

Karzai claimed that external factors are involved in Afghanistan conflict.

 

Karzai remarks came while ongoing efforts of peace talks between Afghanistan and Taliban by Quadrilateral Coordination Group QCG were going on in Islamabad. 

 

The 3rd round of Quadrilateral meeting was held in Islamabad to discuss road map for peace talks.

 

Next meeting of QCG will be held in Kabul on February 23.
