ISLAMABAD - Former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi takes credit for the Sri Lankan cricket team's tour to Pakistan.

The former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi has said that he was the one who initially invited the Sri Lankan cricket team to tour of Pakistan.

While talking to media in Lahore, Sethi said that Sri Lanka’s support was essential inorder to ensure that international cricket returns to Pakistan.

“I was the first who asked Sri Lankan team to tour Pakistan. I met with their officials and asked them to play one match because their support was necessary for revival of international cricket in Pakistan,” said Sethi.

He also reiterated his stance that international cricket will return to Pakistan regularly, especially after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches that take place in the country.

“We were thinking along the lines of bringing international cricket back to Pakistan through PSL. Hopefully the next edition of PSL will successfully culminate in Pakistan,” he said. “I’m confident that every team will visit Pakistan in the next couple of years.”
