PPP, PML-N leaders making hue and cry only to avoid accountability: Abbasi
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Sadaqat Abbasi said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders were making hue and cry only to avoid accountability as their corruption scandals were surfacing.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the opposition was leveling baseless allegations on government without evidences for political point scoring.
Replying to a question, he said Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Housing scandal.
The cases against PPP and PML-N leadership were registered during the previous governments.
The MNA said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was an independent institution, who was investigating the cases and would arrest the culprits after proving the corruption charges.
He said the PTI government was committed to improve the national economy and eliminate the menace of corruption.
