Rain - Snowfall predicted by Meteorological Department

ISLAMABAD: (APP) After prolonged dry and cold weather conditions in most parts of the country, upper parts of the country would receive rain with snowfall over the hills during this weekend.

According to Director National Weather Forecasting Division (NWFC), Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Muhammad Irfan Virk, a westerly wave was likely to enter in Pakistan on Saturday which would cause rain and snowfall.

Rain with snowfall over the hills was expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Saturday evening to Monday.
Rain-thunderstorm was expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions on Saturday and Sunday.
Light rain or drizzle was also expected along Sindh-Makran coast during the period.
