PM appoints new ambassador to United States

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday approved to appoint Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry as Pakistan’s Ambassodor to the US.
He will take charge of the position after completion of contract of the current ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani.
Aizaz Chaudhry is the existing Foreign Secretary of Pakistan.
He has previously served as a political counselor in Pakistani embassy in US and represented the country in the United Nations Organization (UNO) for over six years.
