Punjab university professor Ghalib Atta arrested by CTD over suspicion of having links with banned outfits

LAHORE: Counter Terrorism Department has arrested an Assistant Professor Ghalib Atta over charges of alleged links with a banned outfit. As per details, CTD conducted a raid at his residence Raza Block, Allama Iqbal Town and arrested the professor. As per sources, he is an Assistant Professor in Institute of Administrative Sciences of the Punjab University. According to CTD sources, Ghalib Atta allegedly has association with ban organization. Ghalib has been shifted to unknown location for further investigation. A university spokesman confirmed the arrest; however declined to comment over the reasons behind it.
