Over 8 crore voters participated in LBE in Pakistan with help of 300,000 staff at 70,000 polling stations

ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Justice ® Sardar Raza Khan said that ECP has completed its constitutional responsibility and the process of LBE has completed peacefully. He further said that ECP received 185 complaints from Punjab and Sindh in the last phase of LBE. ECP has also taken notice of polling stations where polling process started late. ECP has rejected the application of MQM to conduct the polling again at 25 polling station of Landhi. MQM Senator Mian Ateeq met with CEC Sardar Raza demanded to conduct election again in this constituency. Sardar Raza also visited the different polling station in Rawalpindi and expressed his satisfaction over the polling process. While talking to media, he said over 8 crore voters used their right of vote. Over 3 lakhs candidates took part in LBE and over 30 million Rs. have been spent for LBE. 70 thousands polling stations had been set up for LBE and over 3 lakhs staff performed their duty in LBE. He added. He further stated that election result will not be accepted in any constituency in which women has been stopped to cast their votes. It is against law to stop women to cast their votes.
