Deciding his tour of urgent nature, Qureshi will inform Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi about alarming situation in the valley and overall security imbalance in the region.
China has already officially rejected the steps taken by Indian government to revoke the special status for held Kashmir.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has made it clear that occupied Kashmir is a disputed territory.
