Pakistan Navy wins seven medals on opening day of shooting tournament

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy was leading the medals’ table on the opening day of the 2nd Parvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship 2018.

The navy side won seven medals with one gold, three silver and three bronze medals to its name.

The Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force have won just one medal. The two sides have secured one gold medal each.

Lubna Amin (Pakistan Navy) won gold medal in the air pistol event for women while Mehwish Farhan (Pakistan Navy) and Kinza Shabbir (Pakistan Navy) clinched the silver and bronze medals.

In the air rifle event for men, Mohammad Farooq (Pakistan Air Force) took the gold medal while Ghufran Adil (Pakistan Navy) bagged the silver medal. Zeeshanul Shakir (Pakistan Navy) won the bronze medal.

Shahnoor (Pakistan Army) clinched the gold medal in Under-25 skeet shooting for men and women. Wajahat (Pakistan Navy) took the second position while Shahzad (Pakistan Navy) won the bronze medal.
