Explosion in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL - Atleast two militants were killed after a motorcycle packed with explosives went off prematurely in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said a group of insurgents were looking to detonate a Motorcycle-borne Improvised Explosive Device in Alingar district on Saturday.

The source further added that the explosives went off before the militants manage to use for an attack, leaving at least two of them dead and two others wounded.

This comes as a local Taliban leader was killed along with another militant in a premature explosion triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device in this province last week.
