WAPDA Chairman vows to complete Kachhi Canal phase-I by the end 2017

LAHORE: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Lt-Gen (Retd) Muzammil Hussain has said that in view of the significance of Kachhi Canal for development of irrigated agriculture in backward areas of Balochistan, WAPDA is committed to completing its phase-I by end 2017.
During his visit to Kachhi Canal, he said that completion of the phase-I would irrigate 72,000 acres of virgin land in remote areas of Dera Bugti district: 55,000 acres in August and 17,000 by end December 2017, according to WAPDA spokesman here Saturday. (APP)
