Afghan government makes an offer to Afghan Taliban

KABUL – Afghan government makes an offer of dialogue after ceasefire toAfghan Taliban.

Afghanistan says no peace talks would yield desired results in the absenceof a government delegation.

According to a statement by Afghan presidential palace, the obstacle inachieving peace in Afghanistan is the continued Taliban-led war andviolence.

The statement further says that peace won’t return to Afghanistan unlessTaliban end Afghan killing, accept ceasefire and initiate direct talks withAfghan government.

The statement came after US President Donald Trump called off peace talkswith the Taliban in the wake of a recent attack in Kabul claimed by Talibanthat killed an American soldier and eleven other people.
