5 Indians stage huge protest (as called by Indian media) outside Pakistan embassy in US for Kulbhushan Jadhav

WASHINGTON – A group of 5 Americans of Indian descents protested outsidethe Pakistani embassy in Washington DC over the treatment of the wife andmother of Indian death row prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav during their recentvisit to Islamabad, Hindustan Times has reported.

Braving freezing cold, the protesters also brought along sandals to givethem to the Pakistani embassy officials.

“The trial of Kulbhushan Jadhav violated all norms of international law asit was conducted by a military court,” said the person who organised theunique event.

Both Jadhav’s wife and mother were asked to remove their sandals,mangalsutras and bindis before they were allowed to meet him, and thesandals were subsequently stolen, Mustikhan said.

The protesters said that Pakistan meted out “inhumane” treatment toJadhav’s wife and mother during their tightly- controlled interaction withthe 47-year-old Indian national on December 25 in the Pakistan ForeignOffice.
