Arab League meets over Jerusalem

RIYADH – Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates,Morocco and Palestine met in the Jordanian capital Amman to discuss USPresident Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital ofIsrael.

The Arab League said that Donald Trump’s announcement will spur violencethroughout the region and described it a dangerous violation ofinternational law, which has no legal impact.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said that efforts areunderway to lessen losses on the Palestinian side and at the same time,minimize Israeli gains over the issue as well.
