Imran Khan calls Ishaq Dar as Pakistan's economic hitman

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan called Finance Minister Ishaq Dar ‘Pakistan’s economic hitman.’

During a news conference focusing on the country's economy, Khan called for the immediate resignation of Dar in light of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference against him.

The PTI chairman claimed that Pakistan was never so heavily in debt as it is today and said the economy of the country has never been this weak.

He added that $30 billion is the deficit between exports and imports in the country, but there has been a lack of foreign direct investment despite the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Referring to previous governments, Imran said there was more investment in the country during Asif Zardari and Pervez Musharraf's tenure.
