Pakistani commentator Zainab Abbas lands in serious trouble in India

Indian lawyer Vineet Jindal has taken formal action by filing a complaint against Pakistan sports presenter Zainab Abbas. The complaint centers around a series of older tweets that have resurfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter. These tweets are alleged to contain content with perceived "anti-Hindu" sentiments.

It's important to highlight that Zainab Abbas is currently in India, serving as a presenter for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Vineet Jindal asserts that these purportedly anti-Hindu tweets were originally posted approximately nine years ago under the username "Zainablovesrk."

Subsequently, the username was changed to "ZAbbas Official," which is the presently active X account of Zainab Abbas.

This situation gains significance due to the fact that the International Cricket Council (ICC) selected Zainab Abbas as the official presenter for the ICC Cricket World Cup. In her role, she is tasked with promoting "cultural similarities" between Pakistan and India. However, she now faces criticism and backlash from Indian internet users who perceive her as engaging in propaganda.
