The supply of electricity has been disrupted in Adiala Jail, and mobile phone signals have also been disrupted.

The inmates in the jail are facing difficulties due to the power outage. The jail administration has stated that teams are working to restore the electricity supply. Notably, Adiala Jail currently houses former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, both of whom are reportedly working on the restoration of electricity in the jail.

On the other hand, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi's lawyer, Abdul Razzaq, has claimed that Pervez Elahi went to Adiala Jail to meet Imran Khan. During the visit, he alleged that there was an order ro shutdown the electricity.

In response, the Special Court under the Official Secrets Act has requested a report from the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to inquire into the request for contact with Chairman PTI's sons through a telephone call.

During the hearing on Thursday, Chairman PTI's lawyer, Shiraz Ranjha, appeared in court and requested to initiate new proceedings for Chairman PTI's sons, Qasim and Suleman, to have a telephonic conversation.

The court has asked the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to provide a report on whether Chairman PTI can have a telephonic conversation with his sons or not. The hearing has been adjourned until October 10th.
