The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, said that the national team is united, and false cricket-related stories are being spread.
Speaking to the media in Bahawalpur, Zaka Ashraf stated that the national cricket team is united, and there hasn't been any infighting; false cricket-related stories are being circulated.
He mentioned that our opener displayed an outstanding performance in the previous match. He also announced a reward of 1 million rupees for Fakhar Zaman's excellent performance. The PCB head further stated that our players receive very little money, and he has increased their contracts.
He also mentioned that he has good wishes for the cricket team and consults with the players. Zaka Ashraf revealed that he had invited Inzamam-ul-Haq for a meeting, but Inzamam had already resigned before arriving. He also spoke positively about Inzamam's contributions and his decision to resign due to the team's current performance.
The PCB head stated that besides the PSL, players will only be allowed to play in one league. He emphasized that Pakistan team players will not participate in T20 leagues. He further revealed that exports of Pakistani players involvement in betting is also false and misleading.
Regarding changes in the team after the World Cup, he mentioned that technical consultations with the selection committee would take place. Zaka Ashraf also praised Shahid Afridi, considering him a great cricketer.
