Can Iran play effective role in defusing Indo-Pak tensions

ISLAMABAD (APP): Chairperson of Senate committee on Foreign Affairs Senator Nuzhat Sadiq believes that Iran has the capability to play an important role in defusing recent tension between India and Pakistan.
Pakistan refuses to attend international conference in India
In an interview with IRNA (Irnian News Agency), she said that Iran had always supported Pakistan at various forum and "We think Iran can play an important role in this regards."
She said it would be a good gesture on part of any country if it plays role in easing tension between India and Pakistan.
Senator Nuzhat Sadiq said, "We want talks with India but we have to solve the issue of Kashmir also."
