Turkey says it will retaliate if US halts weapons sales

Turkey has vowed to retaliate if the United States enacts a proposed law that would halt weapons sales to the country.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with CNN in Ankara on Sunday that the measures in the US annual defense Policy bill were wrong, illogical and not fitting between the NATO allies.

Lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives released details of a 717 billion dollars annual defense policy bill, including a measure to temporarily halt weapons sales to Turkey. AFP
