According to Kashmir Media Service, the KCEU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, talking to media men in Brussels said that the campaign was launched from Belgium some years back and, so far, a large number of people in different European countries have signed the documents of the awareness drive.
Local NGOs and social activists based in different European countries have supported the motivation of move and holding camps in the context in the host countries, he said.
About the new destinations of the move, he said, the one-day camps will be held respectively on Monday in Budapest, the Capital of Hungary, on Tuesday in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and on Wednesday in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
He said that the Council had already organized successful camps in connection with the signature campaign in different EU countries and people massively showed their positive response.
It is important to mention that basic aim of the signature drive is to collect a million signatures to highlight the Kashmir dispute and pressurize New Delhi to stop human rights abuses perpetrated in occupied Kashmir.
The collection of one million signatures will be presented in the shape of the document to the `European Parliament's Human Rights Committee' to raise the issue of violations of human rights in the occupied territory.
The KCEU Chairman condemned the killing of innocent people in extra-judicial actions, illegal detention of youth and political leaders and enormous search operations by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
