WB declares Tarbela-IV project’s execution ‘successful’: Ministry

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Water Resources rejecting some media reports about Tarbela-IV (T4) Hydropower Project, said the World Bank (WB) had expressed satisfaction over smooth execution of the project, declaring it ‘successful.’
“While, presenting review of the WB funded projects during the Steering Committee meeting of Dasu Hydropower Project on March 5, the the World Bank expressed its entire satisfaction on the successful completion of the T4 project on time and below cost,” a press release said.
Besides, the meeting observed that the project was being operated successfully as envisaged in the ‘Project Appraisal Document’ of the World Bank as well as the benchmarks set forth by the bank.
