Construction of Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway ( M-3) has already been completed and the project is likely to be opened for traffic later this month. All physical work of this section had already been completed but due to some technical issues such as delay in approval for deployment of motorway police on this section, the motorway could not yet been opened.

Total length of the motorway is 230 kilometres and it is a six-lane highway which would cut down commute time by two hours between the two cities.

Having 8 interchanges, 35 bridges and 16 underpasses, the construction work on the project had started back in 2015.
