English Cricketer Kevin Pietersen has rejected media reports that he refused to play final of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore after Imran Khan’s statement.
The Quetta Gladiator batsman said in a video message he was told that it was not a good idea to travel to Pakistan. “It was a family decision and has absolutely nothing to do with what Imran Khan said. He said he took his decision before the tournament due to security concerns.
PTI chairman Imran Khan came under criticism for opposing the idea of holding the final in Lahore citing security threats. Local media also claimed that Petersen refused to play after Imran Khan said holding the final in Lahore would be madness.
