KP government launches huge oil and gas exploration project in tribal districts

Khyber Pakthunkhwa Government has proposed 40 billion rupees development package for exploration of oil and gas activities in merged tribal districts in upcoming budget 2021-22.
Talking to APP, Senior Planning Officer, KP Energy and Power Department Engineer Muhammad Luqman, said today (Monday), KP is producing 52 percent of crude oil, 11 percent of gas and 40 percent of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) of the country from just two-exploration blocks.
He said the development package has been exclusively prepared to increase its production through exploring of new oil and gas reservoirs in seven tribal districts
