ANF foiled drugs smuggling attempt at Islamabad Airport

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs and arrested two passengers at Islamabad International Airport.

The accused passengers Tanveer and Haroon Khan wanted to smuggle 912 grams and 953 grams of ice drugs respectively from Islamabad to Bahrain. ANF to take legal action against both accused.

It has been reported that both accused smugglers had reached Islamabad from Sharjah via Air Blue flight and wanted to fly to Bahrain but were apprehended by airport authorities.

Separately, Civil Lines Police in Pir Jahania, an area of Muzaffargarh district, raided and apprehended inter-provincial drug smuggling including two men and two women smugglers and recovered 75 kg drugs ‘charas’. Police have registered an FIR against the accused smugglers.

In Lahore, a video emerged where it can be seen that smugglers introduced women ‘facilitators’ to sell and deliver their drugs in homes in ‘Panju village’. It has emerged that after Jhedu village the sale of drugs is at its peak in another village named ‘Panju’ in Lahore. Two videos of drug selling have emerged back to back. Drug selling is also on a rise at Ferozpur Road where agents of the smugglers sell drugs to addicts.

Police in Mirpur Khas have arrested an accused smuggler and recovered one mound of charas drugs from his possession.
