84 people rescued from Taliban prison in Faryab

KABUL: In Afghanistan, security forces have rescued 84 people from a Taliban prison in a night raid in Faryab province.
In a statement, Ministry of Defence said the raid was conducted by Afghan commandos with support of Resolute Support forces in Shakh village of Qaisar district where the Taliban prison was destroyed.
The statement said twenty Taliban terrorists, four members of Daesh and eight foreigners who were among the prisoners were identified and arrested.
Three Taliban fighters have also been killed in the operation.
