US confirms Trump-Kim meeting in Singapore
WASHINGTON: The White House has confirmed that the meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will take place on 12 of this month at the Singaporean island of Sentosa .
This confirmation was made by the White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Twitter.
The summit was called off two weeks ago by Trump but has since been salvaged after a flurry of contacts between the two sides.
The US wants Kim to commit to giving up his nuclear weapons.
Earlier ,US President told reporters that plans were moving along very nicely. He has suggested the first meeting will kick off a longer pocess of negotiations.
He said that a lot of relationships being built, a lot of negotiations going on before the trip and It is very important .
