CJP hears case pertaining to shortage of water

ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday heard a case pertaining to shortage of water. 

Aitzaz Ahsan was appointed as Amicus Curiae by the apex court who will give his recommendations on water related issues in ten days time.    

The chief justice in his remarks said that seminars and workshops will also be held regarding water scarcity.             

Hearing of the case has now been adjourned till 21st June.

Meanwhile, hearing of a suo-motu notice on fire at Margalla Hills at Supreme Court of Pakistan today, the Chief Justice in his remarks said how the fire can erupt on Margalla Hills five times in three months.
