China activates countermeasures after U.S. tariffs take effect

BEIJING: China levied countermeasure tariffs on select U.S. imports in response to new U.S. tariffs.
Chinese Commerce Ministry said decision has been taken after United States imposed additional tariffs of 25 percent on Chinese goods worth 34 billion dollars.
The Chinese side vowed to stage counter-attacks to protect the core national interests and interests of its people. APP/AFP
