Crackdown on freedom of expression must end: Amnesty India

NEW DELHI: Amnesty India, the human rights watchdog, has revealed that there has been a tumultuous crackdown on freedom of expression and human rights activists in India.
The Amnesty said lets stand up for our constitutional values this New Year and tell the Indian government that its crackdown must end now".
Meanwhile, in a video message released by Amnesty India, a well-known Bollywood film star Naseeruddin Shah said those who are raising their voice against the injustice among members of society are being punished while those fighting for their rights are being arrested.
Naseeruddin Shah said so many innocent people are being killed in India and no one is allowed to talk about them.
